The Rotary Club is a service organisation that pursues charitable and humanitarian causes aimed at achieving peace and better quality of life in the communities served.
 
It’s Members are expected to uphold key values, commitments and responsibilities. These include:

1) Ethical Standards & Professional Integrity
* To uphold and be exemplars of the Four Way Test
* To always represent Rotary in a positive and professional manner.
* To always exhibit behaviours that will not bring disrepute to the club or Rotary International.
* To respect each member’s role
* To respect a code of conduct in meetings

2)Regular Attendance & Participation
* To attend meetings regularly
* To attend fellowship activities and events

3)Adherence to Effective Communication Principles
* To communicate with others in a respectful manner
* To be unafraid to make your voice heard but without being disrespectful
* To respect other members’ opinions even if you may not agree with them
 

 
4) Active Involvement
* To reply to important written/digital communication in a timely manner
* To reply to surveys intended to improve the development and functioning of your club or Rotary International
* To vote when required

5) Tolerance and Inclusivity
* To be respectful of each other’s ethnicity, religious beliefs, gender preferences, social status and elected role

6) Financial Commitment
* To pay Membership Dues
* To make other charitable contributions, wherever possible

7) Ambassadorship
* Promote Rotary’s ideals, capabilities and achievements to external parties
* Identify and recruit potential Members to join the Club
