On Sunday, October 5, 2025, the Beetham Vibrations Steel Orchestra (BVSO) was honoured to receive a transformational $50,000 donation from the Fatima College Class of 1975 during the Prize Giving and Dinner of their 10th Annual Charity Golf Tournament.

This extraordinary gift is far more than a financial contribution; it's a resounding vote of confidence in the transformative power of music, youth, and community. It affirms that the rhythm rising out of Beetham resonates far beyond our panyard, and it touches hearts, inspires action, and bridges divides.

Formed just four and a half years ago, BVSO has evolved into a beacon of resilience, talent, and unity, giving young people a creative platform to express themselves, build confidence, and connect with something greater than themselves. Through dedication, discipline, and an unshakeable love for pan, its members have been writing a new narrative- one filled with purpose and pride.
Thanks to the generosity of Fatima '75, BVSO is now able to take a major step forward: upgrading its instruments, improving its infrastructure, and investing in the tools that empower Beetham's youth to dream bigger, play louder, and stand taller.
Speaking on behalf of the band, Susan Philip, Chairperson of the Management Committee, expressed deep appreciation for this support. Representing the Band at the event were Captain Faith Williams and Communications Officer Chelsea Slater, who both shared how much this moment means to the entire Beetham Vibrations family.

Importantly, BVSO was one of only two beneficiaries of this year’s tournament, an honour we do not take lightly.
To the Fatima College Class of 1975: thank you for believing in our vision and investing in our youth. Your support strikes a chord that will echo for years to come.
A special note of thanks as well to Rotarians Francis O’Neil and Colin Chan, long-time champions of our cause, who have never stopped singing the Band's praises, and who continue to help amplify the sound of the Beetham.
🎼💛 The journey continues — stronger, bolder, and louder than ever.
